State Funded Training
The The State of Indiana, Family & Social Services Administration - Division
of Mental & Addiction, funds a number of training events designed to increase
the number of credentialed problem gambling counselors in Indiana. There
is no charge to Indiana residents who attend these events. Individuals
seeking to expand their knowledge of problem gambling are also welcome
to attend if space is available.
Regional Events
Since 2004, the Indiana Council on Problem Gambling
and the Kentucky Council on Problem Gambling have worked together to
host the annual Kentuckiana regional conference on problem gambling and
counseling in September. In 2007, the Indiana and Kentucky Councils are
being joined by our sister organizations from Illinois, Michigan, Ohio
and West Virginia as hosts for this conference. In 2008, The MidCentral
Alliance was joined by our sister organization in Wisconsin. This event
is now be known as the MidCental Conference on Problem Gambling. This
event will be held at Fort Mitchell Kentucky on September 17,18 and 19.
Members of the NCPG, ICPG and KYCPG receive a reduced conference registration
fee.
Other affiliates of the NCPG also hold events each year.

National Events
The National Council on Problem Gambling holds an
annual conference in June. The location of this conference moves each
year as different State affiliates of the NCPG host the conference. In
2009 the 23rd National Conference on Problem Gambling will be held at
the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Indianapolis on June 25-27.Details

Members of the NCPG receive a reduced conference registration
fee. Joint ICPG/NCPG membership is available at a reduced cost. Please

The National Center for Responsible Gaming holds an
annual conference in Las Vegas Nevada. The NCRG and the Institute for
Research on Pathological Gambling and Related Disorders, a program of
Harvard Medical School's Division on Addictions, jointly present this
event. The 9th Annual NCRG Conference will be held at Las Vegas on November
16-18 at the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino. Details about this conference
